SURGICAL LASER FIBERS AND SETS

Lasers are single-wavelength light sources and interact with the tissues they are applied to in different ways depending on their wavelength. The resulting effects and the type of interaction depend on many factors, including the laser's wavelength, power, duration of application, the method of delivery to the target tissue, and the optical properties of the tissue to which it is applied.

The effects of lasers on tissues can be categorized under the following headings: photochemical, photothermal, photoablative, or photomechanical. Photochemical effects are chemical changes that occur when laser light interacts with molecules present or added to the target tissue. All these properties have led to the widespread use of lasers in medicine.

To perform these applications and deliver the energy from the laser power source to the target tissues, an optical fiber delivery system is required. These fibers, with their diverse properties, have replaced major surgical procedures with non-surgical interventional treatments.

Many treatments such as varicose vein treatments, hemorrhoid treatments, disc decompression, lipolysis, tumor ablation, and biostimulation are performed with the surgical laser fibers and sets we produce.
