Terracotta Trabecular Intervertebral Fusion Cages are designed with a porous structure that mimics cancellous bone, promoting natural bone integration. These cages are manufactured layer by layer through a high-powered laser process that melts titanium alloy powder, known as direct metal laser sintering (DMLS). The Ti–6Al–4V surfaces created through this method enhance osteoblast response and promote strong osseointegration. The highly porous titanium alloy material enables excellent bone in-growth and biological fixation while also offering superior mechanical performance. Its optimized elastic modulus reduces the risk of stress shielding, ultimately contributing to improved long-term stability through real osseointegration.
