The porous structure of Terracotta Trabecular Intervertebral Fusion Cages mimics cancellous bone, promoting natural bone integration. These cages are built layer by layer using a high-powered laser to precisely melt titanium alloy powder through direct metal laser sintering (DMLS). The Ti–6Al–4V surfaces created by this process enhance osteoblast activity and osseointegration. Made from a highly porous titanium alloy, the material is designed to support bone in-growth and biological fixation while providing excellent mechanical performance. This real osseointegration contributes to improved long-term stability. Additionally, the suitable elastic modulus of the material helps to avoid stress shielding, ensuring healthier load distribution.
